My Favorite Christmas Hallmark Movies

As the snow falls, the fire crackles, and the lights on the tree twinkle, you curl up on the sofa with a steaming mug of hot chocolate, a fuzzy blanket, and your loved ones to watch a new Christmas Hallmark movie.

Hallmark makes a TON of movies every year. And while they’re sweet and clean, they’re also very much a like! My family jokes that the movie writers have a wheel like the Wheel of Fortune and spin it to see what the plot, location, occupations, etc. are. Anyways! It can be hard to find a Hallmark movie that is unique and won’t get muddled with the other a hundred you’ve watched! So today I’m going to share with you my top favorite Christmas Hallmark movies that I’ve watched over the years and love re-watching. Are you ready?

Hannah’s Favorite Christmas Hallmark Movies

  • Five Star Christmas (Lucy (Bethany Joy Lenz) and her siblings come home for the holidays to find their father has converted their childhood home into a B&B, the Ralston Inn. When they believe a famed travel writer is staying at the inn, Lucy and her family attempt to garner a five-star review by pretending to be highly trained staff and posh guests at the inn.) Hilarious!

  • Three Wise Men and a Baby (Three brothers are surprised when they find themselves forced to care for a baby during the holidays, during the journey they begin to rebuild their relationships as brothers while rediscovering their love for Christmas.) This one makes me laugh every time 😆 It’s not a romance (not really) like the others.

  • Mistletoe and Menorahs (When a toy-company executive must learn about Hanukkah to land a big account, she enlists the help of her co-worker's friend, who happens to be in need of turning his pad into a Christmas Wonderland to impress his girlfriend's father.)

  • Once Upon a Christmas Miracle (This holiday romance is based on the incredible story about organ donor Chris Dempsey and recipient Heather Krueger, who were brought into one another's lives by a transplant surgery that led to a miraculous romance.) based off of a true story

  • Holiday Road (Nine strangers, stranded at an airport during the holidays, unite for a Christmas road trip to Denver. Misadventures lead to unexpected bonds and heartfelt conversations.) based off of a true story

  • A Biltmore Christmas (Lucy Hardgrove (Bethany Joy Lenz) is a screenwriter who lands the job of a lifetime when she's hired to pen the script for a remake of the beloved holiday movie, "His Merry Wife". First filmed in 1947 at beautiful, historic Biltmore House, it has long been considered a Christmas classic. When the head of the studio isn't satisfied with the ending Lucy wrote because it deviates from the original's feel-good conclusion, he sends Lucy to Biltmore Estate for research and inspiration. While there, she unwittingly discovers the ability to travel to the 1947 set of "His Merry Wife". through the help of an hourglass. After shaking off the initial shock of this turn of events, Lucy embraces this as her chance to uncover the truth about the movie's original ending. While on set, she and Jack Huston (Kristoffer Polaha), one of the film's stars, spend time together and become close. But her sudden appearance has set off a chain of events that put the production in jeopardy. Before she can return to the present, Lucy must make things right or threaten to alter the future forever.) I LOVE this one!!! ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐/5

  • My Norwegian Holiday (A grieving woman forges a deep connection with a Norwegian man when he discovers she has a troll figurine from his hometown. She soon agrees to accompany him to Norway to uncover the troll's origins and find her own path to healing, love and family.) I was pleasantly surprised to fid this one didn’t have a dumb misunderstanding like most.

And that’s it! My most favorite is A Biltmore Christmas, and if you like time traveling or the 1940-50s, then you might enjoy it too. Bethany Joy Lenz is also my favorite Hallmark actress. Well, I hope you enjoy these. Merry Christmas and happy Hanukah!
