90 Days of Different Review
There is so little real friendship in the world. ~Jane Austen
Hello, duckies! Welcome back to another wonderful book review. Today I have a splendidly sweet novel, that I read over the summer, for you. It’s called, 90 Days of Different by Eric Walters. And, yes, it is a fiction book. I was pleasantly surprised with this one.
Summary
On the last day of high school, Sophie's boyfriend breaks up with her. It turns out he thinks she is too predictable, too responsible, too mature...too boring.
When Sophie turns to her best friend, Ella, for comfort and reassurance, Ella just confirms what her boyfriend has said. And that hurts even more.
Then Ella comes up with a plan to help Sophie find her wilder side before college. In the ninety days between the end of high school and the start of university, she is going to arrange for Sophie to do amazing, new, different and sometimes scary things. Sophie has to agree to everything no matter what. And she has to share her adventures through social media.
Can ninety days of different create a different life? Can stepping outside your comfort zone help you find yourself? ~book blurb
Evaluation
I found this book fascinating. I loved joining Sophie and Ella on a new adventure every day. The activities were unique, unexpected, and kept me turning the pages. The characters were great and different from each other. And I loved how short the chapters were. As I said earlier, I was pleasantly surprised with this one. It had none of the garbage I find in most of today’s books (though there are some minor Sensitive Topics), and there was no romance in it either. Well, there were hints that there could be in the future, but other than that no romance. If you know me, you know that’s pretty much all I read. I wasn’t disappointed by that fact though, the book instead was full of family and friendship themes which I found satisfying to read.
Conclusion
So in conclusion, I loved this book! I’m sure I’ll be reading it again, which means this book gets a 4.5/5. If you enjoy deep friendships, characters that get out of their comfort zone, then I recommend 90 Days of Different to you. Enjoy!
